1. a fertile or green area in an arid region 2: something providing relief from the usual: refuge

Have you ever found yourself seeking “relief from the usual” or at least needing a helping hand with something that seemingly overwhelms you?

As we look forward to Christ Community Church’s re-launch in April, we also look back to our original tenets of outreach and service to the community surrounding us.  With this spirit, we are beginning a new way of searching out and helping those around us.

We’re calling it OASIS (Outreach And Sharing In Service).

An oasis provided relief for weary travelers, and we would like to come alongside those you have identified as needing some type of relief too.  We are targeting the second Saturday of each month to get together —the date can and will vary.  The plan is to alternate between some type of service project (e.g., painting at Camp Burton in January) and something fun (e.g., the Super Bowl party in February).

Dave and Anne Bucholtz with Rick and Shelley Yaeger are still working out the details, but soon we will have a way for you to direct us to the places and events needing an OASIS.  Watch for more information coming soon, and remember . . .

. . . we can be an oasis in someone's storm of life.
